Healthy Strawberry Cheesecake Frozen Yogurt Popsicles

These healthy homemade popsicles are easy to make with fresh fruit and creamy yogurt. They make the perfect summer treat!

Summer is upon us, and with temperatures soaring, what better way to cool your kids down then with a refreshing popsicle.

But with all the additives, and artificial flavors and dyes found in many of the pops at your local grocery store, we wanted to provide you with an easy way to make your own, healthy frozen treats, that even your youngest babies and toddlers can enjoy.

Our Strawberry Cheesecake Frozen Yogurt Popsicles are bursting with fresh summer fruit, and will not only provide a much appreciated cooling effect on a hot summer’s day, but can also double as a pretty delicious way to soothe the aching gums of a teething tot.

PIN for when you’re ready to make some healthy frozen pops:

HOW TO MAKE

We mentioned earlier that we wanted to make these popsicles healthy, but also EASY to make, right?

Well it doesn’t get much easier than 2 simple ingredients: fresh strawberries and Stonyfield yogurt, plus an optional splash of vanilla extract and honey (note: do not use honey if giving to a baby less than 1 year of age).

Mixed together these create the taste of an indulgent, creamy piece of cheesecake. Yum!

Use the ripest strawberries you can find, cut off the stems, quarter them, and measure out 2 cups.

Place into your blender, then add 3 containers of YoBaby Yogurt. We like to use the plain variety if we’re making these for babies and toddlers as it has no added sweeteners, but you could use any of their other flavors. The plain YoBaby also gives the popsicles a little added tang, which gives them that real cheesecake taste.

Stonyfield YoBaby is super thick and creamy so it creates a really pleasing texture to the pops. It’s also made with only Certified Organic ingredients (no artificial flavors, preservatives, toxic persistent pesticides, artificial hormones, antibiotics, and GMOs) and contains the probiotic BB-12 which has been clinically proven to support digestive health…bonus!

If using Plain Stonyfield YoBaby, add in a teaspoon of pure vanilla extract. If you want to add a little extra sweetness (which we don’t think they need…but to each their own!) then a small squeeze of honey is a great, natural way to do so.

Whip up the ingredients in your blender until the liquid is completely smooth. Then pour the smoothie mixture into your popsicle molds and place in the freezer for 4-6+ hours.

FAVORITE POPSICLE MOLDS

We’ve done a lot of testing of different popsicle molds and have highlighted 3 of our favorites below:

Norpro Frozen Ice Pop Maker: This fabulous mold makes the extremely realistic looking popsicles seen in the photos here. They look so “real” your kids will think you bought them at the store! The mold is BPA free and has a lid that snaps on top with slots for wooden treat sticks (24 are included) so they stay upright and straight while freezing.

ZOKU Classic Pop Molds: We love these ZOKU molds for kids because the stick is easy to grasp and includes an integrated drip guard to keep hands clean. The sticks snap into individual molds that can be lifted out of the holder for easy release (simply run under warm water and they slide right out). They’re also great to keep individual pops in the freezer, without the need to store the entire holder.

Nuby Garden Fresh Fruitsicle Frozen Pop Tray: For babies and toddlers, these molds are the perfect 1 fl. oz size, and their handle makes them very easy to hold
