Thanksgiving Printable for Kids | Teach Gratitude with this super fun activity perfect for your kids' table! Thankful ideas for kids - this free printable makes a great Thanksgiving craft and card!

Help teach kids to be thankful with our free printable Gratitude Booklet (and give them something pretty awesome to do at the Thanksgiving kids’ table!)

With Thanksgiving getting closer every day, it’s the perfect time to count our blessings and take a moment with our kids to emphasize the concept of gratitude.

Gratitude is one of the hardest concepts for kids to grasp (particularly toddlers who are self-centered by nature), but without a doubt, one of the most important. Being more thankful will drive their empathy towards others, increase their own self-esteem (it feels good to make others feel good, right?!) and lessen their entitlement of materials things.

For kids, sometimes being made more aware of all the wonderful things they have in their lives is enough for them to start learning the concept.

That’s why we put together this fun Printable Thanksgiving Gratitude Booklet that will prompt them to really think about the people and things that they might take for granted. Learning to be grateful for what they already have, will ultimately make them appreciate the things they do receive that much more.

This booklet can be completed at any time before Thanksgiving, OR print out several copies and put them on the kids’ table on Turkey Day with pens and crayons to complete as an activity while they wait for the big meal!

Once you’ve checked your email and opened up the file, simply print it on regular paper or some heavier card stock.

Just look at all the fun stuff activities that are inside! There’s great fill-in-the-blanks that will really get them thinking, an iSpy game, tic-tac-toe and an amazing set of gratitude coupons that they can cut out and give to deserving recipients (hopefully one of which is you!).

You can trim off the thin white edges if you’d like, but really, your kids won’t care either way!

Now fold all 3 pages in half and then grab some glue (a kids glue stick works better than white glue…even spray adhesive works well if you happen to have some on hand).

Put the front cover page to one side and then put the “Thankful iSpy” from page 2 and the Thankful Tic-Tac-Toe” from page 3 back-to-back. Glue these halves of the pages together. Like this:

Now grab the cover and wrap it around the interior pages. Dab on some glue on either side of the cover and then press together to complete.

And there you have it, your Thanksgiving Gratitude Booklet is complete and ready for your child to enjoy.

editor’s note: if you don’t have any glue, you can just fold all the pages and place them inside each other for a single-sided booklet (tell the kids to draw something Fall-themed on the blank sides!). Then staple the outside edges to bind together.

If you didn’t download the printable file earlier, fill in your email address in the form below and it’ll be waiting for you in your inbox (if you don’t’ see it right away, take a peek in your junk mail!)
